SATURDAY MORNING RACE BAG PICKUP AND REGISTRATION
We have made the decision that Saturday morning race bag pickup and registration will not be in Library Square. Due to the projected colder temperature, Saturday race bag pickup and registration will now be across from the park at Below Zero, 45 Washington Ave.
WILL WE CANCEL THE RACE DUE TO THE WEATHER?
With the weather forecast as it is, we have been asked if the race will proceed. Right now, we are anticipating that we will still be running/walking. We do want to be transparent about what would cause us to cancel, and how we will communicate in the unlikely case that were to happen. Conditions felt to create unsafe race conditions necessitating cancellation would include: temperatures under 0 degrees Fahrenheit, extremely poor visibility, icy road/trail conditions, or severe weather conditions (blizzard, ice storm, hail, etc). If the race were to be cancelled, we would update on facebook, our website and via email to all participants as soon as the decision is made. Race bag pick-up would still be available at Below Zero.

- Friday packet pickup will be at Below Zero at 45 Washington Ave.
- Race Day pickup and registration will be on the steps of the library *If inclement weather, race day pickup and registration may be moved from the park location to Below Zero. Any changes in location will be posted by Friday evening. *
Friday Race Bag Pickup
We will again be having early race bag pickup on Friday from 12-6PM. You can pickup your race bag at Below Zero Frozen Treats at 45 Washington Ave. in Hutchinson. Please enter through the front door on Washington Ave.
If you have friends or family who have not signed up and would like to participate, there will be limited “race day” registration available during this time. Please note that timing chip, shirts and medals are not guaranteed. Please bring cash or check, credit cards are not accepted.
Race Day Bag Pickup
Race bag pickup and same day registration will open at 8AM at the library steps. * If inclement weather, race day pickup and registration may be moved from the park location to Below Zero. Any changes in location will be posted by Friday evening. *
If you picked your bag up on Friday, you do not need to check in again on Saturday.

Kids activities will be available in the park starting at about 9AM. The Minnesota National Guard will also have their inflatable obstacle course, weather permitting.
Costume judges will be out and about in the park. Awards will be given for best kids costume, best single/couple costume, and best group costume. Winners will be announced through the sound system near the end of the 5K. If the winner is not present, we will attempt to contact the winner via email/social media after the race.
Breakfast will be on the west side of the park and will consist of yogurt, granola, and bananas. Please note that breakfast is for paid participants only and is one per participant.
Coffee, cider and hot cocoa will also be available near the food and all are welcome to this.
Starts at 9:15AM
The Kids Dash will begin at 9:15AM. We will call all kids to the starting line through the sound system. Parents/Guardians are welcome to run with their children.
The course is approximately a 1/2 mile there and back style course. The kids will run about 1/4 mile, turn around and come back.
Starts at 9:30AM
The 5K race will begin at 9:30AM. We will call participants to the starting line through the sound system. The course is the same as the past few years. The map is below.
5K runners will be chip timed. Results will be available online at this link https://www.athlinks.com/event/29511/results/Event/1063685/Results. QR codes will be posted near the bandshell to direct you to the results website. Please ensure your race number is on the outside of your clothing to ensure proper timing.
For the starting line, faster runners to start up to the front of the pack. Walkers and slower runners please start towards the rear. We ask runners and walkers to stay to the right on the trail to avoid congestion as much as possible. Keep your eyes open from runners coming toward you. Try not to run or walk 3 or 4 across in a line.
Water will be available after the turnaround and at the finish line.
Police will help with traffic control. Although the race is timed, if the police ask you to stop for traffic please do so.
